Your private driver will greet you at your Hotel / accommodation (or Naples train station), after a brief presentation you will be accompanied to the luxurious vehicle where our staff will offer you every comfort you need. On the way to Pompeii, we will drive by Mt. Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for one of the most famous historical events in Italy. The old city of Pompeii is located at the base of the Vesuvius and was flourish during the Period of the Roman Empire. After the eruptions of the Volcano in 79 B.C the city has been destroyed and covered by ashes and lapillus. The Archeological dig started in 1748 and in three centuries only 3/5 part of the city has been discovered. Now the city has declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and 3.750.000 tourists each year come to visit it.

After that we will visit one the most important city of Italy, Naples where we will have lunch. Enjoy the original Pizza in the place where it was created, or, if you prefer another amazing dish of Neapolitan cuisine you just have to ask us, thanks to its incredible food tradition you have literally hundreds of alternatives.Our cheeses are fine Italian cheeses made from high quality milks, and the mozzarella is also known as “white gold”, for its premium quality and taste. The crust releases the flavor of well-baked bread. The sauce delivers the characteristic aroma of a fresh and fragrant mediterranean plate. 90 seconds in our wood-fired ovens at close to 1000 degrees bake it to perfection. Neapolitan Pizza is magic. Neapolitan Pizza exalts the flavors, and celebrates the senses. Each bite distributes an array of flavors, an arrangement of textures. Neapolitan Pizza is fine pizza. Pizza with a capital N. We will then go to the Archaeological Museum of Naples, driving along the Neapolitan streets your driver will show and explain you the history, the architecture and the buildings of this incredible place. The amazing squares like “Piazza Dante” dedicated to the very famous Italian poet, “Piazza del Plebiscito” where you can find the Palace of the King, next to the “San Carlo” theatre, Via Roma where you can go for a nice day of shopping, and many many more amazing places, such as “Port’Alba”, “Piazza del Gesù” with the incredible “Chiesa del Gesù” and “Monastero di Santa Chiara”, and so on. Once arrived at the museum, trust your guide and let her/him accompany you in the huge halls of this place where you can find ruins, sculptures, marbles from Greek and Roman periods, plus a side of the museum entirely dedicated to the Egyptian collection.  

Before leaving your private driver please agree upon the time to leave. Then the driver will recommend a suitable time to get back to your hotel / accommodation after this lovely day!

  • Pizza as lunch is about 20 Euro per person.

General Informations

All our drivers have been trained to give a tour along the route as you are driven to your destinations, however due to strict Italian laws regulating and protecting licensed tour guides our drivers cannot do this outside of the vehicle, in the towns, sites and museums.

In the very rare event that there is an internal assembly or strike in Pompeii, unfortunately they usually do not advise of this in advance.

Kid Friendly: YES (This tour is suitable for children as long as they are supervised by a parent).

Please , comunicate the age of kids up to 6 years old in order to provide a baby car seat.

We reserve the right to change the order in which we visit the sites.

Passengers with a Reduced Mobility (PRM) Friendly : YES (you must enjoy walking short distances and be able to get in and out of minivan and minibus).

Passaport Holders under 18 years are entitled to free admission to State owned archaeological sites (Pompeii, Herculaneum, Etc.) and museums, upon production of a valid photo identity document.

The client must know that we will provide this tour despite bad weather.

If you want to see the true Amalfi coast there is no one better to help you explore its jaw dropping beauty than Giovanni, our wonderful, authentic Italian guide. Travelling with my best friend, he tailored the day to meet everything on our wish list. My husband booked a tour of Positano, Sorrento, & Pompeii with Lovely Amalfi Coast Tours after finding them on Trip Advisor. This was our first tour on a week long cruise, so we weren't sure what to expect. Our drivers were Giovanni and Gaetano, who were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and made our day truly special. It was a national holiday the day we went and Giovanni and Gaetano arranged the day so we never got stuck in traffic. It seemed that every location we went to was not crowded when we arrived, but was very crowded when we were leaving. This made our day and experience, all more enjoyable. One example, they arranged for us to have lunch at a nice location in Sorrento. Our table was all set when we arrived and we were treated like royalty. They stopped along the way to allow us to take photos of scenic routes and recommended a great place to buy limoncello. I would highly recommend this company as this was the best part of our trip. It made us want to return to the Amalfi Coast one day.
