On the way to Pompeii, we will drive by Mt. Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for one of the most famous historical events in Italy. The old city of Pompeii is located at the base of the Vesuvius and was flourish during the Period of the Roman Empire. After the eruptions of the Volcano in 79 B.C the city has been destroyed and covered by ashes and lapillus. The Archeological dig started in 1748 and in three centuries only 3/5 part of the city has been discovered. Now the city has declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and 3.750.000 tourists each year come to visit it.

After that we will visit one the most important city of Italy, Naples where we will have lunch. Enjoy the original Pizza in the place where it was created, or, if you prefer another amazing dish of Neapolitan cuisine you just have to ask us, thanks to its incredible food tradition you have literally hundreds of alternatives.Our cheeses are fine Italian cheeses made from high quality milks, and the mozzarella is also known as “white gold”, for its premium quality and taste. The crust releases the flavor of well-baked bread. The sauce delivers the characteristic aroma of a fresh and fragrant mediterranean plate. 90 seconds in our wood-fired ovens at close to 1000 degrees bake it to perfection. Neapolitan Pizza is magic. Neapolitan Pizza exalts the flavors, and celebrates the senses. Each bite distributes an array of flavors, an arrangement of textures. Neapolitan Pizza is fine pizza. Pizza with a capital N. We will then go to the Archaeological Museum of Naples, driving along the Neapolitan streets your driver will show and explain you the history, the architecture and the buildings of this incredible place. The amazing squares like “Piazza Dante” dedicated to the very famous Italian poet, “Piazza del Plebiscito” where you can find the Palace of the King, next to the “San Carlo” theatre, Via Roma where you can go for a nice day of shopping, and many many more amazing places, such as “Port’Alba”, “Piazza del Gesù” with the incredible “Chiesa del Gesù” and “Monastero di Santa Chiara”, and so on. Once arrived at the museum, trust your guide and let her/him accompany you in the huge halls of this place where you can find ruins, sculptures, marbles from Greek and Roman periods, plus a side of the museum entirely dedicated to the Egyptian collection.

General Informations

All our drivers have been trained to give a tour along the route as you are driven to your destinations, however due to strict Italian laws regulating and protecting licensed tour guides our drivers cannot do this outside of the vehicle, in the towns, sites and museums.

In the very rare event that there is an internal assembly or strike in Pompeii, unfortunately they usually do not advise of this in advance.

Kid Friendly: YES (This tour is suitable for children as long as they are supervised by a parent).

Please , comunicate the age of kids up to 6 years old in order to provide a baby car seat.

We reserve the right to change the order in which we visit the sites.

Passengers with a Reduced Mobility (PRM) Friendly : YES (you must enjoy walking short distances and be able to get in and out of minivan and minibus).

Passaport Holders under 18 years are entitled to free admission to State owned archaeological sites (Pompeii, Herculaneum, Etc.) and museums, upon production of a valid photo identity document.

The client must know that we will provide this tour despite bad weather.

We booked day tour with Enrico for 2 in May 2017 and he was the highlight of our 3 week Italy trip! He picked us up at our hotel and wanted to start the day off with coffee so he took us to his favorite coffee bar for cappuccino and Neapolitan pastries. They had the best sfogliatella! Then we continued on our way to the Amalfi Coast, stopping in Positano, Ravello, and Amalfi. He knew the best places to stop and take pictures and even bought us lemon sorbet twice! He pointed out important places in the history of Naples and would talk about each town before stopping to let us stroll through on our own for an hour or so. He also took us the to most amazing seaside lunch place that's only accessible by boat! It was a perfect way to end our vacation. I will definitely be back to take another day trip with Enrico! Grazie Mille Enrico for an unforgettable day in paradise! Oh, and he has the best pizza place recommendations! You must go visit his suggestions!

Amalfi was our fourth stop after Rome, Firenze and Cinque Terre and we had been on many tours in those cities; but I would say the Amalfi Coast private day tour by Lovely Amalfi Tours was by far the best one! Enrico showed such a passion he has for the Amalfi Coast, He was fun, talkative, and Informative about the area of the world he lives. It is hard to find enough adjectives to describe how much our group of six enjoyed the experience with Love Amalfi Tours. Giavani was our driver and we too feel like we made a new friend. We took two tours and it was hard to say goodby to him after our second tour. He is warm, funny, smart, and very informative and creative in the ways he takes you on the excursion you sign up for. We all have travelled a lot and taken many different tours and all six of us agreed that this was the best experience we have ever had. We continue to talk about how much fun we had and how incredibly beautiful the places we went with Giavani were. We also had Lina as our guide for Pompeii and Herculean and she was vey informative and adeptly helped us get through the crowds at Pompeii while giving us a full understanding of the history there. We spent a week at a Villa in Positano and booked two tours through Lovely Amalfi Tou poprs. Our driver was Giovanni. He was professional, pleasant, funny and knowledgeable. On our tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum we also booked a guide for each sight. Lina was our guide and clearly knew the history. We would not have known what we were looking at had we not had Lina guiding us. What is amazing about Lovely Amalfi Tours is that all the drivers and guides are employees. They do not use third party companies to manage their tours. I couldn't have been happier with this choice. I would use them again and would not hesitate recommending them to family and friends.

Our trip to Amalfi coast was made heavenly because of Lovely Amalfi Tours and Giovanni. The service provided was excellent and efficient. Customer service of Melania was fabulous. Gio made sure we saw every inch of Amalfi and his lunch suggestions were fabulous. My most favourite memory is Gio singing to beautiful classics driving along the beautiful coastline of Positano.
