The tour will begin after you meet your private driver who will be easily recognizable due to the sign on which will be written your name and our agency logo at the port where your cruise ship will be docked. After a brief presentation your private driver will accompany you at the luxurious vehicle where and will offer you every comfort you need. On the way to Pompeii, we will drive by Mt. Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for one of the most famous historical events in Italy. The old city of Pompeii is located at the base of the Vesuvius and was flourish during the Period of the Roman Empire. After the eruptions of the Volcano in 79 B.C the city has been destroyed and covered by ashes and lapillus. The Archeological dig started in 1748 and in three centuries only 3/5 part of the city has been discovered. Now the city has declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and 3.750.000 tourists each year come to visit it.

After that we will visit one the most important city of Italy, Naples where we will have lunch. Enjoy the original Pizza in the place where it was created, or, if you prefer another amazing dish of Neapolitan cuisine you just have to ask us, thanks to its incredible food tradition you have literally hundreds of alternatives.Our cheeses are fine Italian cheeses made from high quality milks, and the mozzarella is also known as “white gold”, for its premium quality and taste. The crust releases the flavor of well-baked bread. The sauce delivers the characteristic aroma of a fresh and fragrant mediterranean plate. 90 seconds in our wood-fired ovens at close to 1000 degrees bake it to perfection. Neapolitan Pizza is magic. We will then go to the Archaeological Museum of Naples, driving along the Neapolitan streets your driver will show and explain you the history, the architecture and the buildings of this incredible place. The amazing squares like “Piazza Dante” dedicated to the very famous Italian poet, “Piazza del Plebiscito” where you can find the Palace of the King, next to the “San Carlo” theatre, Via Roma where you can go for a nice day of shopping, and many many more amazing places, such as “Port’Alba”, “Piazza del Gesù” with the incredible “Chiesa del Gesù” and “Monastero di Santa Chiara”, and so on. 

Before leaving your private driver please agree upon the time to leave in order to reach your cruise ship on time. During the ride to the port, you can reminisce about your lovely day!

  • Entrance fee for Pompeii is 18 Euro pp. (Open From 8.30 AM until 5.00 PM).
  • Entrance fee for Archeological Museum is 15 Euro pp. (Open From 9.00 AM until 4.00 PM. Reservation no needed for this site.
  • Pizza light lunch is around 20 Euro per person.

General Informations

All our drivers have been trained to give a tour along the route as you are driven to your destinations, however due to strict Italian laws regulating and protecting licensed tour guides our drivers cannot do this outside of the vehicle, in the towns, sites and museums.

In the very rare event that there is an internal assembly or strike in Pompeii, unfortunately they usually do not advise of this in advance.

Kid Friendly: YES (This tour is suitable for children as long as they are supervised by a parent).

Please , comunicate the age of kids up to 6 years old in order to provide a baby car seat.

We reserve the right to change the order in which we visit the sites.

Passengers with a Reduced Mobility (PRM) Friendly : YES (you must enjoy walking short distances and be able to get in and out of minivan and minibus).

Notes

Available: All year round, except Tuesdays (Archaeological Museum is closed on tuesday).

Pick-up Time (suggested): 8.30 am (we can change the pick up time according to the cruise ship schedule)

DURATION OF THE TOUR: 8 hours

Passaport Holders under 18 years are entitled to free admission to State owned archaeological sites (Pompeii, Herculaneum, Etc.) and museums, upon production of a valid photo identity document.

The client must know that we will provide this tour despite bad weather.

What a fab day with Giovanni touring the Amalfi Coast. He was knowledgeable, funny, prompt and accommodating. We learnt about the history of his country and traditions of family life. Giovanni’s vocals accompanying Andrea Bocelli in the car was a bonus. Giovanni made the day for us and I can’t rate the tour highly enough. The best private tour experience ever! I booked the Naples-Pompeii-Lunch in Positano-Amalfi Coast experience so that it’s easier to get from Naples to Amalfi with my two friends. Our Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Tour with Gio was AWESOME! Gio showed us some of the most beautiful parts of Italy, while carefully explaining the ins and outs of Italian culture and historical facts.
