Your private driver will greet you at your Hotel / accommodation (or Naples train station), after a brief presentation you will be accompanied to the luxurious vehicle where our staff will offer you every comfort you need. On the way to Pompeii, we will drive by Mt. Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for one of the most famous historical events in Italy. The old city of Pompeii is located at the base of the Vesuvius and was flourish during the Period of the Roman Empire. After the eruptions of the Volcano in 79 B.C the city has been destroyed and covered by ashes and lapillus. The Archeological dig started in 1748 and in three centuries only 3/5 part of the city has been discovered. Now the city has declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and 3.750.000 tourists each year come to visit it.

After that we will visit one the most important city of Italy, Naples where we will have lunch. Enjoy the original Pizza in the place where it was created, or, if you prefer another amazing dish of Neapolitan cuisine you just have to ask us, thanks to its incredible food tradition you have literally hundreds of alternatives.Our cheeses are fine Italian cheeses made from high quality milks, and the mozzarella is also known as “white gold”, for its premium quality and taste. The crust releases the flavor of well-baked bread. The sauce delivers the characteristic aroma of a fresh and fragrant mediterranean plate. 90 seconds in our wood-fired ovens at close to 1000 degrees bake it to perfection. Neapolitan Pizza is magic. Neapolitan Pizza exalts the flavors, and celebrates the senses. Each bite distributes an array of flavors, an arrangement of textures. Neapolitan Pizza is fine pizza. Pizza with a capital N. Pure ingredients. Rare freshness. Classical simplicity. Historical heritage. Neapolitan Pizza is the meal of choice for health-conscious foodies and epicureans alike.

We will then go to the Archaeological Museum of Naples, driving along the Neapolitan streets your driver will show and explain you the history, the architecture and the buildings of this incredible place. The amazing squares like “Piazza Dante” dedicated to the very famous Italian poet, “Piazza del Plebiscito” where you can find the Palace of the King, next to the “San Carlo” theatre, Via Roma where you can go for a nice day of shopping, and many many more amazing places, such as “Port’Alba”, “Piazza del Gesù” with the incredible “Chiesa del Gesù” and “Monastero di Santa Chiara”, and so on. Once arrived at the museum, trust your guide and let her/him accompany you in the huge halls of this place where you can find ruins, sculptures, marbles from Greek and Roman periods, plus a side of the museum entirely dedicated to the Egyptian collection.

  • Starting this year, access to Pompeii will be limited and all tickets will be nominative with ID. Therefore, we advise anyone planning to visit the ruins to purchase tickets online in advance (you'll see the link in our quote email), as they will be available one month before the tour date.
  • Gratuity can be paid to the driver at your discretion (it is not mandatory in italy)

  • Entrance fee for Archeological Museum is 18 Euro pp. (Open From 9.00 AM until 4.00 PM. Reservation no needed for this site.
  • Pizza as lunch is about 20 Euro per person.

General Informations

All our drivers have been trained to give a tour along the route as you are driven to your destinations, however due to strict Italian laws regulating and protecting licensed tour guides our drivers cannot do this outside of the vehicle, in the towns, sites and museums.

In the very rare event that there is an internal assembly or strike in Pompeii, unfortunately they usually do not advise of this in advance.

Kid Friendly: YES (This tour is suitable for children as long as they are supervised by a parent).

Please , comunicate the age of kids up to 6 years old in order to provide a baby car seat.

We reserve the right to change the order in which we visit the sites.

Passengers with a Reduced Mobility (PRM) Friendly : YES (you must enjoy walking short distances and be able to get in and out of minivan and minibus).

Passaport Holders under 18 years are entitled to free admission to State owned archaeological sites (Pompeii, Herculaneum, Etc.) and museums, upon production of a valid photo identity document.

The client must know that we will provide this tour despite bad weather.

My family and I had a great day with Gio. He picked us up right on time at the Naples train station. The van was clean and he was a great driver. He shared lots of stories and information about what we were seeing, and made quite a few helpful suggestions on what to see and what to skip. The restaurant he recommend for lunch in Conca dei Marini was excellent and the view was unbelievable. The day made for an unforgettable part of our vacation. We took the highspeed train from Rome (and hour and ten minutes) so this was a very easy and fun day trip. I would recommend using LACT to everyone.
