Where do we even begin with Gio and Lovely Amalfi Tours? Some people come into your life unexpectedly and leave a lasting impression. Gio is one of those people. We first met Gio several years ago after a friend recommended him to us. At the time, we weren’t particularly interested in taking a driving tour of the Amalfi Coast, but we decided to give it a chance. Little did we know it would become our favorite experience of the entire trip. From the moment Gio picked us up, there was something special about him. His warmth, kindness, humor, and genuine love for the Amalfi Coast made us feel like we were spending the day with an old friend rather than a tour guide. Of course, he showed us breathtaking sights and shared the incredible history of the region, but it was the little things that made the day unforgettable. He took us to hidden spots we never would have discovered on our own and gave us an experience that felt truly personal. And then there was the moment he sang for us. It was so beautiful and moving that it brought tears to our eyes. It’s a memory we still talk about to this day. What we never could have imagined was that this one day would be the beginning of such a meaningful friendship. We stayed in touch with Gio over the years, and somewhere along the way, he became so much more than a friend. He became family. So when my husband and I decided to return to Positano to renew our wedding vows, there was never a question about who we wanted to be part of that day. It had to be Gio. And once again, he went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. He found the perfect location, arranged a photographer, and took care of every detail so that we could simply enjoy the moment. But what meant the most to us was having him officiate our vows. To have someone who had become such an important part of our lives standing beside us for that moment was incredibly special. And in true Gio fashion, he added a personal touch at the end that neither of us expected and that once again brought us to tears. It’s hard to put into words what Gio means to us. What started as a tour with someone we had never met turned into a friendship we will treasure for the rest of our lives. He has given us some of our most beautiful memories, and we will forever be grateful that our paths crossed all those years ago. If you’re visiting the Amalfi Coast, we cannot recommend Gio and Lovely Amalfi Tours highly enough. Yes, you’ll see incredible places and learn so much along the way, but what makes the experience truly unforgettable is Gio himself. He has a gift for making people feel welcome, cared for, and genuinely connected to this beautiful place he calls home. We went to Italy expecting to make memories. We never expected to find family. And we can’t wait to go back and see ours. ❤️

We had an amazing time. Gio did not disappoint. We put our trust in him and he provided an amazing tour of the Amalfi coast and then to an amazing, quaint vineyard for a wine pairing lunch. Gio, was an amazing guide. His services were educational and most of all fun. He remembered all of our names and made our two tours with him memorable. He recommended great restaurants and other tour guides. Our trip to Italy was outstanding because of his exceptional customer service.

We used Lovely Amalfi Coast Tours for a day, we had 12 people and 2 vans. Gio and the other driver exceeded our expectations. I feel awful I cant remember the second drivers name, he was wonderdul. Our day started with them picking us up at the Cruise port. They were so friendly from the start, I felt like they were family. They brought us to a shop to try Lemonchello as we requested. They stopped at a few places where we were able to get the perfect pictures. As we drove to places they explained what we were seeing and about the town. We then went shopping and had lunch in Sorrento. Then we were off to the Herculaneum. One of the best memories for me is that both my grandparents are from Italy and I had their birth certificates. Gio translated them for me and was able to tell me more about the regions they were from. My grandmother is from a region that makes good wine. Gio helped us find wine from the region and we were able to taste it and ultimately ship some home. This isnt just a tour company. They truly love what they do and treat you like family. I highly recommend them!
