Our first step is Pisa, an important city of the Tuscany region. Once a Roman Empire’s colony, then an important commercial port, the city of Pisa is better known for hosting one of the symbol of Italy abroad: “La torre pendente di Pisa” (The leaning tower of Pisa). Opened to the public in 1371, the pending structure was originally the bell tower of the Cathedral, today it is more famous than the original building thanks to its leaning-on-a-side characteristic, due to the not uniformal soil on which the tower stands. But don't worry it is not dangerous at all, you can even go up to the top.
The Leaning Tower is located in the so-called “Campo dei miracoli”, a wide plaza where you can find other sites too, such as the Cathedral, the cemetery and the baptistery. A magical place that definitely does worth a visit. Don’t miss the chance to take a traditional picture of you holding the tower, or get creative, don’t forget to show us your pictures.
After the marvelous city of Pisa we will go straight to Florence, undoubtedly one of the most important and famous italian city in italy and abroad.
Our first stop here is an art gallery known as “L’Accademia”, one of the most famous museum in Italy along with the “Uffizi”. In “Accademia art gallery”, we will see hundreds of paintings and statues, one of the most famous the “David” by Michelangelo. An iconic e best known Italian statue. In the museum other amazing masterships such as the “Third Pietà and prisoners” by Michelangelo, and other artists’ art such as Giotto and Bernini. Inside you can even visit the “Museo della Musica”, a museum that keeps track of the history of the music and where you can visit the ancient musical instruments.
Out next destination is the giant “Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore”, huge cathedral with its gothic, neo-gothic and rinascimental architectural styles. Once the biggest church in the world, is today the third one in Europe. Situated in the centre of Florence, it is adorned with plays of the best artists, the cupola created by the famous Brunelleschi, Michelangelo and Donatello whose incredible plays and paintings decorates the churches halls, Giotto’s belfry, or the golden bronze doors by Ghiberti.
From here our next destination, “Piazza della Signoria” and “Loggia dei Lanzi”, where you can find the “Fountain of Neptune” and the “Perseo of Cellini”. After that a quick lunch, try the traditional tuscanian food in a nice restaurant or a quick street food like the schiacciata or the “lampredotto”.
Before finishing our nicest day tour one last visit: the “Ponte Vecchio” (Old Bridge) . A bridge, one of the symbol of the city long 95 meters and built in the 970. On the of the bridge shops and artisanal workshops, at the centre two panoramic balconies and a statue, tribute to Benvenuto Cellini, famous sculpting artist and goldsmith.
